A Vulture report examines how AI replicas reproduced the staging, choreography, camera movement, and visual rhythm of Romain Gavras’s “Storm” music video—despite the original being built with real performers, rehearsal, film, and a continuous take.
The original Gener8ion and Yung Lean video used 66 schoolboys, three days of choreography rehearsal, and roughly 15 attempts to capture its central sequence. Months later, social platforms filled with near-template copies that swapped in new characters while retaining the recognizable scene design.
The creator question is no longer limited to whether AI copied a frame. Music-video teams should preserve treatments, storyboards, rehearsal footage, production files, and release dates because an AI imitation may borrow the total creative arrangement even when individual assets change.
