Founder’s Notes: A Memorable Weekend at AI Creators Weekend in Atlanta
October 2026
I had a terrific weekend in Atlanta at AI Creators Weekend, where I met creators who are exploring new ways to make, share, and promote AI music. My wife came with me, and we both had a great time. The weekend was inspiring, but it was also practical: I came home with new ideas, new connections, and an even stronger sense of how much opportunity there is for independent AI musicians.
From AI music skeptic to supporter
On Saturday, October 17, I spoke at the creator meetup about my own journey with AI music. I used to be a critic of it. My perspective changed when I took songs I had recorded on cassette in the 1980s and brought those ideas into Suno. Hearing those old musical ideas come alive in a new form helped me understand AI as another way for creators to explore and develop their work.
That experience is part of why I built VerseCove. I want AI musicians to have a place to share their work, meet listeners, and build an audience. You do not have to agree with every tool or every approach to recognize that creators are finding meaningful ways to express themselves with AI. The best way to understand this movement is to listen to the music and talk with the people making it.
Learning from Atlanta’s creator community
Sunday brought hands-on tutorials and useful conversations. Samori Coles and Olivia B. Moore shared ideas around social-media marketing for AI music creators. Their sessions reinforced how important it is for artists to think beyond making a track: creators also need to tell the story behind their music, show up consistently, and help new listeners discover what makes their work distinctive.
We also explored AI video creation with Higgsfield and worked with Suno V6 to create music. Seeing creators learn side by side was a reminder that these tools are moving quickly, but the creativity, experimentation, and personal choices still come from the people using them.
I was glad to connect with people helping shape the AI music community, including Drake Murphy and Brock from Dreaming Relic. Events like this create room for honest conversations between artists, builders, and fans. They help turn an online community into real relationships and collaborations.
More ways to help independent artists grow
I returned to New Jersey thinking about how VerseCove can keep supporting creators as the community grows. We are building a place where listeners can discover AI music and follow the artists they enjoy. I am also working on ways to connect independent musicians with podcasters through the Podsafe Music Network, giving creators another path to get their songs heard and helping podcasters find music they can use.
AI Creators Weekend reminded me that this movement is about more than software. It is about people sharing ideas, learning new skills, finding collaborators, and building opportunities together. I am grateful to everyone who welcomed us in Atlanta, shared their experience, and made the weekend so enjoyable.
We have a lot more to build at VerseCove, and I am excited about what comes next. To every AI music creator: keep experimenting, keep developing your sound, and keep putting your work in front of people. Your next listener or collaborator may be one conversation away.
