Should I disclose that my music was created with AI when I promote it?

Be truthful without making the technology the entire identity of the music. If a platform, distributor, collaborator, or listener asks whether AI was used, answer accurately. Never present a synthetic voice as a real person, imply an unauthorized collaboration, or use a name or image that creates confusion about who performed the work.

For ordinary promotion, lead with the song: its genre, mood, story, and audience. A clear credit line such as “Created by [artist name] with AI-assisted music tools” can work when context matters. The goal is trust. Listeners will decide whether they connect with the music, but they should never feel misled about its origin.
