Believe And Tunecore Artists Get A Two Step Opt In For Spotify S AI Remix Tool

Believe and Spotify signed a licensing agreement that will let participating Believe and TuneCore artists earn royalties when fans create AI-powered covers and remixes through Spotify’s forthcoming paid tool.

Participation is voluntary and uses two approvals: artists first opt into consideration for AI programs, then decide whether to join this specific Spotify partnership. The tool is intended for remixes and covers rather than entirely new works, and each result will link back to the original recording and artist.

For independent musicians, the two-step consent structure is the headline. Before opting in, artists should review how masters, compositions, featured performers, royalty splits, attribution, withdrawal, and derivative releases will be handled.
