Source: Digital Music News — Sonilo raises $11 million
Sonilo raised $11 million to expand a multimodal system designed to generate music and sound effects that follow a video’s timing, movement and emotional arc.
The round was led by B Capital with participation from Redpoint. Sonilo says it will spend the funding on computing infrastructure, creator and developer distribution, model improvement and music licensing.
Its proposed workflow lets a creator upload footage, add a text description or combine both inputs. Sonilo says its model analyzes a scene frame by frame and produces synchronized audio, but those performance and commercial-readiness claims are company-supplied.
Practical takeaway: AI video creators should still verify license scope, export rights, platform policies and whether generated music and effects can be used in client advertising, film or monetized social content.
