Plans are database-driven, so the exact feature list on the pricing page is the source of truth. The platform currently uses three visible plan levels.
Best for getting started. Free artists have a basic profile, limited exposure, lower ranking priority, and limited active song visibility.
The Pro Creator Plan increases visibility, improves ranking priority, allows more uploads, and makes artists eligible for more discovery features.
The Serious Musician Plan gives the highest current exposure level, stronger recommendation priority, featured opportunities, no ads on profile, and no other artist promotions on the profile.
Music submissions are connected to your logged-in account email. If you are not logged in, the form is visible but submission is disabled. Your first successful upload changes your account from Fan to Fan + Artist.
On your artist profile, only active songs are shown. If you submit more songs than your plan allows, the profile displays the allowed number for your current plan.
Song artwork uploaded on the Add Your Music form may be JPG, PNG, or WEBP. If the file is already 90 KB or smaller, VerseCove saves it as is. Only if the file is larger than 90 KB does VerseCove start resizing it in 50 pixel steps from 500 by 500 down to 300 by 300, checking the file size after each resize. If the resized file is under 90 KB, VerseCove stops and saves it. If not, it keeps resizing and checking again.
Artist images uploaded from My Artist Image may be JPG, PNG, or WEBP. If the file is already 90 KB or smaller, it is saved as is.
Use a clear image with the main subject centered. If a file still cannot get under 90 KB after resizing, choose a simpler image with less detail.
Your public artist profile shows your artist image, artist description, active songs, genres, fan count, and platform links. Song artwork links to the first available music platform in this order: Suno or AI platform link, Spotify, Apple Music, then YouTube.
Following an artist is called becoming a fan. You do not need fan credits to follow artists anymore. Fan credits are now optional promotional credits for future boosts, featured placement, profile promotion, or discovery visibility.
To protect the site from bots, every plan is also limited to no more than 20 follows within 10 minutes by account or IP address.
Use My Favorite Artists to see artists you follow. Use My Fans to see users who follow your artist profile.
If a fan button shows an error, use this list to understand what happened and how to fix it.
Log in or create an account, then return to the artist profile and click Become A Fan again.
Refresh the artist profile page. This creates a fresh security token for the fan button.
Check your email for the verification link. Following artists requires a verified email address.
Your account status must be active before fan features are available.
Your account may be limited because of suspicious fan activity. Contact support if you believe this is a mistake.
Self-following is blocked. Share your public artist profile so listeners and other artists can become your fan.
Duplicate follows do not count. Visit My Favorite Artists to see artists you already follow.
Free users can follow 10 artists per day. Pro Creator Plan users can follow 50 artists per day. Serious Musician Plan users do not see normal daily follow limits.
Free users can follow 100 artists total. Pro Creator Plan users can follow 1,000 artists total. Serious Musician Plan users do not see normal total follow limits.
The system blocks obvious bot-like velocity. No account or IP address can create more than 20 follows within 10 minutes.
If you unfollow an artist, you must wait 24 hours before following that same artist again.
This fan relationship may have been limited because of previous activity. Contact support if you believe this is a mistake.
The member has not activated Artist status yet. Members become artists after uploading their first song.
The artist needs at least one approved active song on their profile before fan follows are enabled.
The follow was not saved. Wait a moment, refresh the artist profile, and try again.
The request did not complete. Check your connection, refresh the page, and try again.
Open the artist profile from the Artist Directory or Music Directory, then try again.
The site owner needs to run the fan system database migration before fan follows can be saved.
Refresh the page and try the fan button again. This action must be sent securely from the artist profile page.
The Artist Directory shows Artist accounts in a three-column grid on desktop and a single-column layout on mobile. Artists with higher plans appear above lower plans, and score can influence order within the same plan.
The platform protects artists and fans by requiring real accounts, limiting suspicious activity, and moderating abuse.
