Member Setup

Sign Up, Then Become An Artist

Every new account starts as Fan. During registration, enter your first name, last name, username, email, and password. You do not choose Fan or Artist during signup. New email/password accounts must verify their email before restricted features such as becoming a fan of artists are available.

  • Go to Create Account to sign up with email or Google.
  • Upload your first song from Add Your Music to activate Artist status automatically.
  • After your first upload, use Your AI Artist to update your artist name and description.
  • Use My Artist Image to upload the image shown on your artist profile and directory cards.
  • Artists remain Fans, so they can still become fans of other artists.
Plans

How Pricing Plans Work

Plans are database-driven, so the exact feature list on the pricing page is the source of truth. The platform currently uses three visible plan levels.

Free Plan

Best for getting started. Free artists have a basic profile, limited exposure, lower ranking priority, and limited active song visibility.

Pro Creator Plan

The Pro Creator Plan increases visibility, improves ranking priority, allows more uploads, and makes artists eligible for more discovery features.

Serious Musician Plan

The Serious Musician Plan gives the highest current exposure level, stronger recommendation priority, featured opportunities, no ads on profile, and no other artist promotions on the profile.

Music Submission

How To Add Music

Music submissions are connected to your logged-in account email. If you are not logged in, the form is visible but submission is disabled. Your first successful upload changes your account from Fan to Fan + Artist.

  • Open Add Your Music.
  • Your contact name and email are filled from your account and cannot be edited on the song form.
  • Required fields include song title, song artist name, AI platform link, genre, artwork, and agreement to the terms.
  • Optional links include Instagram, TikTok, and Spotify.
  • Submissions may need approval before they appear as active songs.
  • Your plan controls how many songs can appear on your profile.

On your artist profile, only active songs are shown. If you submit more songs than your plan allows, the profile displays the allowed number for your current plan.

Uploads

Images And Upload Limits

Song Artwork

Song artwork uploaded on the Add Your Music form may be JPG, PNG, or WEBP. If the file is already 90 KB or smaller, VerseCove saves it as is. Only if the file is larger than 90 KB does VerseCove start resizing it in 50 pixel steps from 500 by 500 down to 300 by 300, checking the file size after each resize. If the resized file is under 90 KB, VerseCove stops and saves it. If not, it keeps resizing and checking again.

Artist Image

Artist images uploaded from My Artist Image may be JPG, PNG, or WEBP. If the file is already 90 KB or smaller, it is saved as is.

Best Results

Use a clear image with the main subject centered. If a file still cannot get under 90 KB after resizing, choose a simpler image with less detail.

Profile

How Artist Profiles Work

Your public artist profile shows your artist image, artist description, active songs, genres, fan count, and platform links. Song artwork links to the first available music platform in this order: Suno or AI platform link, Spotify, Apple Music, then YouTube.

  • Use Your AI Artist to update profile text.
  • Use My Artist Image to update the profile image.
  • Use the Share button on a public artist profile to copy or share the profile link.
  • Free profiles may show the “Fans Also Listen To” section with other promoted artists.
Fan System

How To Follow Artists And Get Fans

Following an artist is called becoming a fan. You do not need fan credits to follow artists anymore. Fan credits are now optional promotional credits for future boosts, featured placement, profile promotion, or discovery visibility.

To become a fan of an artist

  • You must be logged in and your email must be verified.
  • The member you follow must have an active Artist account.
  • You cannot become a fan of your own artist profile.
  • Duplicate follows do not count.
  • Free users can follow up to 10 artists per day and 100 artists total.
  • Pro Creator Plan users can follow up to 50 artists per day and 1,000 artists total.
  • Serious Musician Plan users do not see normal daily or total follow limits, but anti-spam protections still apply.
  • If you unfollow an artist, you must wait 24 hours before following the same artist again.

To protect the site from bots, every plan is also limited to no more than 20 follows within 10 minutes by account or IP address.

For people to become your fans

  • Your account must be Fan + Artist.
  • Your artist profile must have at least one active song.
  • Your account does not need any credit balance to receive fans.
  • Higher plan levels improve visibility in the directory and recommendations.
  • Share your public artist profile so listeners, podcasters, and other artists can follow you.

Use My Favorite Artists to see artists you follow. Use My Fans to see users who follow your artist profile.
