Indian playback singer Benny Dayal is not treating AI as an immediate existential threat, but he rejects using it as a substitute for trained artistry and says emotion matters more than technical perfection.
Dayal told the publication that AI is acceptable as a “toy,” while music created through heavy reliance on AI risks insulting artists who spent years learning their craft. His argument centers on expression, individuality and performance rather than on technology alone.
