Source: Fast Company — How AI Slop on Streamers Has Helped Qobuz Grow
Qobuz is positioning human curation, editorial context and high-quality audio as differentiators while streaming services receive growing volumes of AI-generated tracks.
Fast Company reports that Qobuz removed about four million AI-generated tracks with no listening activity from its internal search and excluded roughly 60% of streams on detected AI tracks from royalty payments because of suspected fraud. The service also introduced AI-content tags in September.
Qobuz reported 45.7% revenue growth in 2025, but AI filtering alone cannot be credited for that result; brand awareness, product endorsements and listener migration also contributed. The marketing lesson is still useful: curation and artist context can be product features when unlimited generation makes catalogs feel interchangeable.
