Composer Antony Partos and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers are launching the “Human Made” campaign at the APRA AMCOS Screen Music Awards to demand consent, licensing and payment when creative work trains AI.

Attendees are expected to wear record-shaped copyright badges. Partos says composers are already being asked to recreate AI-generated advertising tracks so productions can claim a human author, raising questions about whether musicians are being used to legitimize material with unclear provenance.

Why it matters: The campaign proposes licensing rather than a blanket rejection of technology. Its position is that creators should choose whether to opt in and receive compensation when their work contributes to commercial AI systems.
